Shipping policy
At Obsessive Recessive Roots C.I.C., we aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly and safely as possible. Please read the following information regarding our shipping procedures.
1. Order Processing
- Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3–4 working days of purchase.
- Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
- We do not dispatch orders on Sundays or UK Bank Holidays.
- During busy periods, fundraising campaigns, or seasonal demand, dispatch times may occasionally be longer. If significant delays occur, we will make reasonable efforts to notify customers.
2. Shipping Methods
We use trusted UK delivery providers, including:
- Royal Mail for standard and smaller parcels.
- Evri for larger or heavier parcels.
The delivery service used will depend on the size, weight, and nature of your order.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
3. Live Invertebrate Deliveries
The welfare of live animals is our priority.
- Live invertebrates are dispatched once per week on Mondays only.
- All live invertebrate orders are sent using a 24-hour tracked delivery service.
- Orders placed after the weekly dispatch cut-off may be held until the following Monday.
- We reserve the right to delay shipment if weather conditions or other circumstances could put the welfare of the animal at risk during transit.
Customers should ensure someone is available to receive the delivery on the expected delivery date.
4. Delivery Times
Delivery times provided by Royal Mail and Evri are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is the responsibility of the courier. While we will assist in resolving delivery issues where possible, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by:
- Adverse weather conditions
- Industrial action or courier disruptions
- Incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer
- Customs or regulatory delays
- Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
5. Missing or Delayed Orders
If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us with your order number and any tracking information.
We will work with the courier to investigate missing parcels and keep you informed throughout the process.
6. Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery details are accurate at the time of ordering.
Obsessive Recessive Roots C.I.C. cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information provided during checkout.
